Recently completed this course so provide a slight insight.
The ACT Awareness e-learning course is a new counter-terrorism awareness product. The course has been created by CT officers and security experts and is now available to a huge range of clients, before it was only available to a few select job roles.
In a new move the Counter Terrorism Policing Unit has opened up the training program to anyone that wants to learn more awareness and spot signs of suspicious behaviours and what can be done to help in a major incident.
The course is split into seven modules, the course can be completed in around 45 minutes and each module takes between 5 and ten minutes to complete.
- Introduction to Terrorism
- Identifying Security Vulnerabilities
- How to Identify and Respond to Suspicious Behaviour
- How to Identify and Deal with a Suspicious Item
- What to do in the Event of a Bomb Threat
- How to Respond to a Firearms or Weapons attack
- Summary and Supporting Materials.
When you finish the course there is no formal assessment and you will receive a certificate of completion.
